The boys (and girls) of summer take the winter off
Will's t-ball league ended last week with a final game on a perfect fall afternoon. So I took a couple hundred shots and weeded them down a little. Here's the result. No apologies that Will is probably a little over-represented in the photos. I don't have to be the objective photojournalist anymore.
The phones won't be ringing on draft day, but the improvement these kids have shown in the last 8-9 months on the spring and fall teams (with about 80% of same kids and coaches) is impressive. Especially fielding. At first, the glove was just something to use to filter the dirt of the infield with, now the kids are really using it to trap the ball and make the occasional catch. I have a feeling next season there is going to be another big leap as the kids start learning how to aim a little of the throwing power they are developing.
